Cycling application modules

M-series modules

These modified modules have been put into production program since 1996 and proved themselves as exclusively reliable modules. In 2002 the production of a new generation M-series modules was launched as a result of a long-term research in upgrading GM technology patented in few countries. The produced modules are featured by revolutionary cycling reliability.

The standard test 40/90o C that was used for evaluation of cycling reliability before with the cycle period of 5-6 minutes has become unacceptably slow and required several years for accomplishing the testing procedure. Therefore other types of cycling tests were developed simulating the real conditions of thermocycler operation.

The arrangement of such tests with current polarity reversing is shown on the drawing (see Fig. 1). The description of three different cycles with temperature amplitude coming up to 140 degrees and with time period up to 20 seconds is shown on the same drawing.

Data in the Table bellow demonstrate the incredible level reached in cycling reliability improvement

The remarkable feature of developed technologies is that every module from General Specification can be transformed to M-series module.

The ability of modules to withstand a hard cycling is the evidence of inherent structural durability of the product and determines long lifetime for static operation modes as well.

QCC-series of modules (Quick-Cool for Cyclers) has been developed for special applications connected with cycling operations of modules in burn-in test equipment (CPUs quality control), DNA-amplificators and other thermocyclers. QCC-series is the sequel to M-series and has technological features that provide additional advances in cycling reliability.
