The QUICK-COOL-Thermogenerator QC-SORT-0744-A generates electricity from the temperature difference of a heat transfer interface, heated by a flame, and two fin-packages, cooled by ambient air. In doing so, the extraordinary heat transfer of heatpipes is demonstrated by transferring the heat from the heated interface to the hot side of the generating modules on the one hand and, on the other hand, the heat dissipation from the side of the generating module that has to be cooled to the cooling fins. When heat is flowing through the thermoelectric module, electricity will directly be generated. This physical aspect is known as the “Seebeck-Effect” At this kind of power generation there is neither a moving part nor a wearing. When the flame is lid and being positioned under the heat exchange interface, the interface will start to heat up the end of the heatpipes (heat input). This construction kit communicates in several fascinating experiments knowledge around thermoelectric. It is described what thermoelectric exactly is, what thermogenerators are used for, what can be done with peltier modules and how a heatpipe is working. It's energie the demonstrator gets from a pasteburner. With the assembled USB-port a DC of 5V can be used for own experiments. Dimensions
